Fundamentals

The principles that guide our every transaction.

1. Artemundi Global Fund (AGF) is a five year closed-end fund equipped for $150,000,000 expandable to $225,000,000 USD to facilitate the purchase of 150-200 works of art. With a target annual IRR of 18% net of all fees and expenses by the end life of the Fund, AGF has aligned our interests with investors awarding a performance fee of an 80/20 split over a 10% threshold. Our minimum investment is $250,000 USD for individuals, which can be split between investors, and $1,000,000 USD for institutions and family offices. Strategic Investors place a minimum of $10,000,000 USD in the Fund and are included in on the elite club of learning the buying methodology and enjoying the hunt for a masterpiece with the well trained eye of our Management. We try to keep our investor group as close as possible, allowing limited membership to be advantageous in helping to maintain a friendly and familiar environment.

2. AGF provides what may well be a first in the art investment industry. We believe that works of art, especially our works of art, cry out to be seen and should not be hidden away in vaults or warehouses. Therefore, our policy is to enable investors to display the Fund’s holdings in their homes or offices on a revolving basis.

3. AGF’s asset diversification covers more than half a millennium of fine art objects from reputable artists with proven track records ranging from the Fifteenth Century to the Twenty First Century. More specifically, the portfolio is divided into Old Masters, Impressionist and Modern with a focus on Europe and Latin America, as well as Contemporary Art from both established and emerging markets with global appeal such as China, India or Russia. We are the first major art investment fund to place such emphasis on Latin American Art and we actively pursue investor relations in this robust, undervalued and vibrant market.

4. The fine art focus of AGF is quite narrow, with an emphasis on classical media, oils, acrylics, mixed media, sculpture and works on paper as well as a small photography component for our Contemporary collection. Size is very important; we prefer small gems. Fiscally, most of our acquisitions carry price tags of $250,000 and up, not merely to simplify the management of the inventory but also because we believe that this is the safest exit strategy. This will attract a wider audience and serve as a helpful tool in time to deaccession the Fund’s holdings as a comprehensive collection.
